El régimen de visados en el puerto libre de Vladivostok se ha finalizado en Rusia
According to the head of the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka, last agreements on the simplified visa regime available in the Free port of Vladivostok were brought to an end. He stated that the Free port of Vladivostok started to operate in last October. It is expected that the law on a free port will completely come into effect on 1 October 2016.
It must be stressed that the proposal to simplify the legislation in the field of tourism was submitted by the authorities of Primorye (Maritime Territory).
A simplified visa regime for foreign citizens will be applied at all border crossing points located on the territory of the Free port of Vladivostok. According to the draft resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, visas for foreign nationals will be issued in the form of an electronic document. In order to get a visa, a foreign citizen will be required to file an application on a special Internet site for at least 3 days before the expected date of entry. After the documents are checked by the competent authorities of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens will receive a notice on granting an entry visa. According to the rules, a foreigner may travel all over the Russian Federation within 8 days. He will be able to leave the country either through checkpoints of the Free port or through other checkpoints across the state border.
It is expected that the simplified visa regime will result in the development of tourism in the region.
