Alexander Stubb: el régimen de exención de visado entre Rusia y la UE es posible para 2018
Finnish Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb during his working visit to Russia announced that visa-free regime between Russia and the EU can be achieved already in 2018, that is, to the final World Cup.
“Visa-free regime between Russia and the EU is not a matter of decades, but of several years”, – emphasized the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
Abolition of visas between Russia and the EU is important, primarily for the development of cooperation in economy, but also topical for education, culture and social sphere.
As an obstacle to establish a visa-free regime, Alexander Stubb noted in the interview to the BBC, firstly, the existing system of registration in Russia of foreign citizens, and secondly, complex and intricate system of migration registration for foreign experts and the lack of biometric passports of Russian citizens.
“Why do I support the visa-free regime between Russia and Finland? It is precisely because I want Russians, Finns and Europeans travel freely across borders”, – emphasized the head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry.
During the three-day working visit to Russia, Alexander Stubb had time to visit Karelia, St. Petersburg and Vyborg.
