Se ha promulgado una ley que simplifica la emisión de visas rusas para ciudadanos extranjeros

According to “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, The Federation Council approved a law that will simplify the processing of visas for foreign citizens. In addition, the photo will become a mandatory element of the Russian visa.

In particular, the new law increases the validity periods of various types of visas: for diplomatic and service visas – from three months to a year, for ordinary private visas – also up to a year, and for business and humanitarian visas – up to five years. The last three are based on the principle of reciprocity.

The issuance of private visas will be based on confirmation of the reception of a foreign citizen by legal organization, the data on which can be found in the Federal Register of tour operators. At the same time, is provided the possibility of issuance visas for family members of foreign citizens arriving in Russia for work.

According to the experts of market, the new law will help to stop the decline of the inbound tourist flow to Russia. In this way, by the end of the year the decrease of the number of foreign tourists in Russia amounted to 30–40%.
