Los turistas todavía podrán traer alcohol en Rusia
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree repealing the admittance of the 2005 on the import of alcohol without excise stamps for personal use, – informs the “Izvestia”.
This news caused a significant response, there have been reports that now only the alcohol purchased in Duty Free stores can be imported. But soon the disclaimer appeared clarifying the rules of transportation of alcohol in Russia.
Thus, despite the ban the Customs Union agreement on cross-border movement of goods for personal use remains in force, on the basis of which the tourists can continue to import up to five liters of alcohol. With up to three liters of alcohol can be imported free of charge, and more than three liters must be declared and paid 10 euros per liter. The entire volume of more than five liters of alcohol really will be confiscated at the border.
Representatives of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, in turn, said that they are not confiscating now and later the alcoholic beverages without excise stamps.
As noted by the media, the repeal of the resolution from 2005 only eliminates the duplication rule set out in the Customs Union agreement.
