The city's tourism development committee said that 80,000 medical tourists were screened and treated in 2021. In the first half of 2022, 52,657 foreign tourists visited the city for treatment. Director General of the St. Petersburg Medical Tourism Agency Natalya Yudina explained that such examinations as family planning, ophthalmology, oncology, dentistry, and orthopedics are in demand. Each medical product can be supplemented with tourist component. Tourists who travel to St. Petersburg can also visit clinics for medical examinations.
