Se otorgarán visas especiales a extranjeros en Crimea

“Foreigners will be granted special visas while visiting the Crimea” – reports the agency “Interfax”. These visas can be obtained at the very border but they will be valid only in the Crimean Federal District. The term of stay in the Crimea on these visas may be up to 30 days.

This and other laws are included in the bill on the development of free economic zone in the Crimea presented by the Minister of Regional Affairs Oleg Savelyev at a meeting of the Russian Government.

“This bill provides for the possibility of obtaining a visa for up to 30 days on arrival at the appropriate consular posts at the points of the state border crossing”, – the official’s announcement is quoted by the media.

This visa will be issued to specialists involved in investment contracts in the region and to tourists as tourism is one of the key points of the economic development of the Crimea.

Besides, it is planned to significantly reduce the minimum remuneration of labour in the Crimea due to which the foreign worker will be considered as highly qualified specialist. Currently, the threshold value is reduced from 2 million to 1 million rubbles a year.

According to the estimate made by the initiators of the bill, these innovations will allow investors to reduce expenses by at least 30% compared to other regions of Russia.
