Simplificación del régimen de visas entre Rusia y Japón
According to the deputy press secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Masao Otaka, simplification of visa regime between Russia and Japan can take place for the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the country.
“I'm not sure that I can speak about any terms now. I think we will try to finalize the agreement very soon. I hope, it will take place for Putin's visit”, – he said.
It is noted that this issue was discussed during the negotiations of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Japanese Foreign Minister Kishida Fumido.
After the end of negotiations, Sergei Lavrov pointed out the necessity of signing a peace treaty, and also he noted the complexity of the process of approximation of positions between two countries.
Masao Otaka said that the simplification of the visa regime between two countries will increase the tourist flow.
“It will facilitate the international exchange between two countries, in particular among young people, as well as will increase the tourist flow between two countries”, – said Masao Otaka.
The president of Federation Council Valentina Matvienko during a meeting with the vice-chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Masahiko Komura said that the simplification of the visa regime will improve Russian-Japanese relations and will increase economic and humanitarian relations between two countries.
