Rusia e Italia para preparar un proyecto turístico conjunto
As announced the Deputy Russian Culture Minister Alla Manilova, Russia and Italy are preparing a joint cultural and tourist project to be submitted to the Council of Europe.
It is expected that the Russian part will include a new tourist trail “Shrines of undivided Christianity” which was prepared by the Ministry of Culture. The route includes visiting holy places equally revered by both Orthodox and Catholics before the separation of churches in the 11th century.
According to Alla Manilova, the Council of Europe has a large program on cultural routes which will also include religious and gastronomic tourism. As noted, religious routes are of great importance in this program.
It should be emphasized that the certification of the Council of Europe helps to attract the attention and trust of Europeans. “We are interested in increasing the attendance of our holy places and intend to acquaint the Europeans with them,” Manilova said. She noted that her department is engaged in the preparation of many new tourist routes which have a deep cultural and historical significance and are intended to diversify and develop the tourist offer of Russia.
A large number of representatives of the Ministries of Culture of Russia and Italy attended the forum dedicated to “Russian-Italian Spiritual and Cultural and Pilgrim Routes”.
