El Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort espera un mayor número de turistas extranjeros en invierno 2016–2017

According to the resort marketing and sales director Olga Filipenkova, the Rosa Khutor alpine ski resort located near Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi expects to receive about 950 thousand tourists in the upcoming winter season. She stressed the fact that the resort sales increase is due to the new launched project – creation of package tours available only for German tourists now.

The Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort expects to attract more than 1.2 thousand foreign tourists from Germany in six weeks due to the sales of new winter package tours. First visitors from Germany will be able to visit the resort in January 2017. Flight program from Berlin – Sochi – Berlin starts on January 15, flights will be operated weekly until February 26, 2017.

The resort hotels Rosa Springs Resort 4*, Park Inn by Radisson 4*, Tulip Inn 3*, Riders Lodge will host visitors from Germany. The tour will also include transportation from the airport to the resort. It is also planned to make a resort guide in German.

In Germany tourists can get tours to the Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort in travel agencies in Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Leipzig and Rostock, as well as through German tour operators working with Russia. In addition, the proposal will be available online on the website of the resort. The cost of a week tour will be from 879 euros per person.

According to Olga Filipenkova, the Rosa Khutor resort will be the first Russian resort offering complete package tours to foreign visitors. She stressed that the resort plans to increase the share of foreign tourists at least twice due to the entrance to the foreign market. In the past winter season the number of foreigners visited the resort made about 5% of the total tourist traffic.

According to the deputy head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Sergei Korneev, Rosturizm actively supports the resort project for sale of tours for foreign tourists. “For us it is a very important project, it contributes to the promotion and development of the inbound tourism. We support any project that may result in the increased number of foreign tourists in Russia”, – said S. Korneev.

S. Korneev also noted that international experts give a high rating to the tourist potential of Russia. “But without specific proposals, such as the Rosa Khutor alpine resort, it cannot result in concrete trips”, – said the deputy head of the Federal Agency for Tourism.
