La adopción de la ley que simplifica la organización de los viajes de los extranjeros en Rusia
President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law allowing issuing visas for foreign artists as well as organizing the concerts and paying them a fee without processing a work permit.
The appropriate changes have been made to the federal law “On the procedure for exit from and entry to the Russian Federation” and the federal law “On the legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation.”
Business visa will be issued for up to 30 days for citizens who will stay in the country for a period not exceeding 30 days. This will allow being on tour in the country without limitation.
The need for such a document is caused by the increasing contradictions that arise upon the organization of tours of foreign artists. Thus, the Russian Attorney-General's Office alleges a violation of the visa regime on the part of Madonna and Lady Gaga who entered the country on humanitarian visas but in fact earned on their shows. The concerts of American singer Selena Gomez who was planning to perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg in September 2015 had to be canceled.
