Posible introducción de e-visas en Moscú, San Petersburgo y Crimea
According to the Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, foreign tourists will be able to get electronic visas when traveling to the Crimea and Sevastopol. Subsequently, this practice can be introduced in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
“The ministry is working on the simplification of the entry procedure for foreign citizens entering Russia for tourism purposes. Taking into account the positive experience of using electronic visas in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, such a mechanism will be implemented in the Kaliningrad region starting from July 1,” Kolokoltsev said.
It should be recalled that from August 1, 2018, a simplified visa regime was introduced in the Far East: citizens of 18 countries received the right to get an e-visa when traveling to the region.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that the mechanism for introducing electronic visas can be introduced in cities of federal significance.
Thus, it is planned to allow entering on e-visas to Moscow and St. Petersburg. To apply for this type of visa, the trip must include a specific set of services: accommodation, excursions, transportation and others.
