El sitio de reservas en línea nombró de nuevo a los hoteles de Moscú como los más caros de Europa
Moscow hotels are recognized once again to be the most expensive in Europe. Such conclusion was made by the experts of the online booking website hotel.info after the annual indexation of the hotels cost around the world.
The database contains more than 200 000 hotels all over the globe. Prices for the stay can also be seen in rubles.
Thus, according to the site research the average room rate in Moscow hotel is 183 dollars, while Oslo, Norway occupied second place with the room rate around 170 dollars. Then go London, Stockholm and Kiev with a decrease of the cost.
As the report notes, Moscow leave behind all other capitals in terms of population number, prices for hotels in the last month of autumn rose by 8.35% to 7.684 thousand rubles, and were the highest in Europe.
The chairman of the Committee on Tourism and Hospitality Management of Moscow, Sergei Shpylko has responded quickly to the publication of the rating. He denied these data pleading the particularity of autumn and spring seasons in Russia.
“The fact is that these ratings are based on data of the hot autumn-spring season, during the peak of business travel. This is the case of network hotels of category 4 and 5 stars only. At that time, Moscow actually occupies a leading position in Europe on hotel rates”, – the press service quotes the words of Sergei Shpylko.
Shpylko also notes that in normal times, according to the exchange information between Moscow network hotels, a room will cost for tourists 139 euros on average. In general, he urged not to trust blindly the ratings, but try to make own conclusions by booking a room in a Moscow hotel through an electronic system or directly at the reception.
