Nuevas reglas de registro para los fanáticos extranjeros de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2018

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup held from May 25 to July 25, special rules of migration registration of foreign citizens will be applied in Russian cities hosting the championship, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara and Saransk.

According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 214 of 12.05.2018 “On Amendments to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 202 of 09.05.2017 ‘On Specifics of Reinforced Security Measures for the Duration of 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2018 FIFA World Cup taking place in the Russian Federation’”, foreign citizens who come to Russia from May 25 are required to register with the regional migration authority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation within 3 days upon arrival.

It should be recalled that the responsibility for the registration of foreign citizens rests on the host party — the administration of hotels, sanatoriums, rest homes, etc. These institutions are required to register foreign citizens within 1 day upon their arrival.

It is also emphasized that the documents for registration should be submitted only to local divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Filing registration at post offices is not allowed.
