La entrada en los museos de Moscú será gratuita durante las vacaciones
During the Christmas holidays from January 2nd till 9th Moscow museums will be open for free visits, – informed the head of department of culture Sergei Kapkov. You could visit the free of charge 64 museums and 27 exhibition halls, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Historical Museum and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.
Also, up to January, 13th 19 Moscow theaters will give everyone an opportunity to go behind the scenes with a guided tour, the first of January you could walk around the Moscow Zoo for free, and almost all of the city's parks are preparing performances and interactive programs for visitors. Among the planned events are Christmas markets, charity bazaars, fireworks, concerts and sporting events.
So, the most important will be the fair in the Tverskoy passage, in All-Russia Exhibition Centre, on Petrovka street, on Bolshaya Dmitrovka, on Kamergersky Lane and others. Gorky Park prepares the program “Illusion-park”: the park visitors will participate in a Christmas tale, make a trip through the Looking Glass, see the singing Christmas tree and the royal ball. The capital park “Sokolniki” prepares for its visitors an athletic program – here the first park Olympic Games will take place, which will be open to everybody, including children.
At the very New Year's Eve the most important entertainment will unfold on Okhotny Ryad, where CIS musicians will perform as part of the show “I love Moscow!”, the installation “Tale of Tales” on the facade of the Exhibition Hall “Manege”, the “Multpodarok” on Lubyanka and others. The fireworks will also be launched on the Sparrow Hills, Moskvoretskaya promenade and all over the city.
As expected, in the New Year celebration in Moscow up to 5 million people will take part.
