Los museos de Moscú ofrecen acceso gratuito durante las vacaciones

May, 1 and 9 during the holidays, the access into the Moscow museums will be free. This was announced at a meeting of city government on Wednesday, April 25 by Sergei Kapkov, the head of the Department of Moscow Culture.

In addition to free entrance many museums have prepared a special program devoted to the Great Patriotic War and the War of 1812. Thus, the exhibitions will be located in the State Museum of the defense of Moscow, the Memorial complex of the Navy History, the Exhibition Hall “Manège”.

Besides the museum's program, Moscow has prepared more than ten thousand different events to be held in the squares and parks of the city. In particular, on May 6, the Day of Moscow Emblem and Flag the lessons of the Moscow history will be held for school children in the 10 parks; on May 8, in the parks the St George ribbons will be distributed and the meeting of veterans will took place, and on May 9 there will be a program dedicated to Victory Day.

In the “Hermitage” garden the visitors can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of May 9, 1945, in the Gorky Park it will be possible to light candles and put them on the water of Golitzine pond in memory of those who perished during the war, and in the park “Krasnaya Presnya” one can ride the pre-war motorcycles. In Red Square it will be a traditional victory parade, and from 3pm to 10pm the street festivities will be held. The holiday salute will complete the Victory Day.
