Los extranjeros que violaron la ley no podrán ingresar a Rusia durante tres años

The Federal Migration Service of Russia proposed to expand the list of grounds for refusal of entry for foreign citizens. The service prepared for consideration of the Government a draft of the federal law intended to control, to prevent and to combat the illegal migration.

In particular, it implies a ban of the entry in Russia to foreigners who broke the immigration laws of the country for the period of 3 years. Thus, this penalty will be applied to foreign citizens who exceeded for 30 days the term of stay in Russia indicated in their documents. The law provides an exception for those who were unable to leave due to illness, death of close relatives – the citizens of Russia, force majeure circumstances such as natural disasters.

This document was preceded by the statement of Vladimir Putin, made in January 2012. The Prime Minister at the time, made a proposal to implement criminal liability for the immigration violation, coupled with the prohibition on returning to Russia in a few years.
