El flujo de turistas a Rusia en 2013 aumentó en casi un 10%

In the first quarter of 2013, 193.5 thousand foreign tourists came to Russia – informs Rosturizm on the basis of the preliminary results of Rosstat. This is almost 10% more than the number of tourists during the same time period in 2012.

According to official statistics, since January of this year, the greatest interest in Russia is showed by the tourists from the United States and China. Thus, the number of tourists from the United States amounted to 31.2 thousand people and from China to 30,500. In third place are tourists from Germany and Turkey. Next in the ranking of countries where tourism to Russia is popular are Israel, UK, Italy, France, etc.

However, it is noteworthy that the total number of those who arrived in Russia may differ significantly from the final number of tourists. For example, from Lithuania, Poland and Finland during the same period for purposes other than tourism came more than 300,000 people.

The largest increase of tourist flow to the country is recorded from countries such as Cuba, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and South Korea.
