Obligatory dactylography for all foreign nationals working in Russia will be introduced from 2013, – report the news agencies.

As stated by the spokesperson of the Russian Federal Migration Service Konstantin Poltoranin: “It is already defined by law. Until January 1, 2013th, we must create the conditions and the base that will allow people to leave their biometric data.”

Earlier fingerprint record of foreigners in Russia was proposed by the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin at a meeting of the Committee dedicated to summing up 2010.

“In our view, to solve the problems in this area it is necessary to adopt a special government program for full record of migrants including their genomic and fingerprint registration”, – said Bastrykin.

Explaining the technical details of innovations, Konstantin Poltoranin noted that the procedure of dactylography will be held at the stage of work permit and will not take long for foreign nationals.

Also, the spokesperson of the Federal Migration Service said that the procedure will be conducted by the state, but foreigners may have to pay the corresponding fee.

“This is the worldwide practice. One of the best ways to combat illegal migration”, – said Konstantin Poltoranin.
