Expansión territorial del régimen de visas electrónicas en el Lejano Oriente
According to the Minister of the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka, the system of electronic visas will be introduced in the near future throughout the entire territory of the Far East of Russia.
“The Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to adopt a law spreading the e-visa regime not only to Vladivostok but also to all international airports without exception. This means that foreign citizens (including Chinese citizens) will be able to use this simplified scheme to arrive to all nine regions of the Far East,” the minister said.
According to Alexander Galushka, the territorial expansion of the regime of electronic visas will help foreign investors to do business in the region. In addition, a bill which guarantees the invariability of conditions for the implementation of capital investments and the conduct of business is to be adopted by the end of the year.
Currently, the electronic visa for visiting Primorsky Krai through the Free Port of Vladivostok has been issued to more than 4 thousand foreign citizens, generally Chinese citizens. To obtain such a visa, a foreigner must fill in a special application form available on the MFA website and, after receiving a positive response, buy a ticket and come to Russia for up to 8 days.
