Los ciudadanos de Honduras podrán viajar a Rusia sin visados

According to the information on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, starting from July 11, a visa-free agreement signed between Russia and the Republic of Honduras on September 26, 2014 comes into force.

Citizens of both countries can stay on the territory of another country without a visa for up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of their first entry. However, those who need to stay in the country for longer period than was specified will have to apply for a visa as well as those people who are planning to carry on business or engage in labor activities.

The agreement applies to all citizens of Russia and the Republic of Honduras who have a valid passport of the country.

Experts mention that rules on the visa-free entry of Russian citizens to the Republic of Honduras have been introduced since 2010. Thus, the new agreement will return the symmetry to visa relations between the two countries.

Diplomatic relations between the countries were established not so long ago – 23 years ago. The first embassy of Honduras in Moscow was opened in October 2013. Before that moment the interaction was held per the Russian Embassy in Nicaragua and the Honduras Embassy in France.
