Work Russian visa is the most complex and expensive visa type. There are two types of work visas:
- Single entree visa for 90 days is issued by Russian consulate on the basis of work visa invitation (which, in its turn, is issued on the basis of work permit);
- Multiple entree visa is reissued on the basis of single entree visa at the local department of Russian federal migratory service (FMS) for the period of validity of work permit.
Important: from 01.07.2010 there is a new type of the Working visa – For Highly Qualified Specialists, which has several advantages (eg, a three-year validity), but the salary of such specialist in Russia should amount to more than two million rubles per year.
With work permit for the new period it is possible to prolong the work visa, and also to obtain a new multiple entree visa in FMS without leaving Russia.
Foreigners can receive Russian visas only in their own country. To receive the visa in the third country one will have to present residence or work permit in this country. Citizens of the Schengen space can receive visas in any country of the Schengen space.
Visa Invitation:
Work visa invitation (single entree for the period of 90 days, purpose – “employment”), issued on the basis of work permit by the local department of the Russian federal migratory service (FMS) on application of Russian organizations, accredited in this department of FMS.

Term and price of visa invitation execution:
depend on the conditions of your inviting Company- employer, on the average 80 days and 40000 rubles (1250 dollars, 1000 Euro) to obtain the Attraction permit to employ foreign workers, work permit for foreigner and invitation itself for work visa.
