Russia prepares to simplify the custom procedures

Russia intends to join the International convention on simplification and harmonization of the custom procedures in the nearest time, – reports “Interfax”.

As the Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin noted, Federal custom service and Russian Ministry of foreign affaires have already prepared the corresponding suggestion.

As the Prime Minister Putin noted: “I consider that this step will allow to adopt more actively the modern standards of the custom business at the Russian border, comfortable for the citizens and for business”.

The government hopes that it will improve the cooperation of Russian and foreign businessmen, as recent work of the custom causes more and more complaints from western partners.

The Prime Minister underlined that the producers of the hi-tech product suffer mostly, because of the problems in the work of the custom.

In particular, the agencies report about suspension of deliveries to Moscow of the loads, subject to the custom registration, by DHL Company, which is one of the leaders of the express transportations. Another large company also has problems – Wimax, whose commodities stuck on a custom because of the disagreements in the legislation, dealing with the importing of the hi-tech electronic technique.

After joining the International convention, Russia will abolish the control and the supervisory services on a border, – reports the agency “RIA News”. The functions of these services will be delegated to the custom.

The International convention on simplification and harmonization of the custom procedures was created for organization of transparent system of customs control and legalization of imported goods.
